Spresso + Tristwch Y Fenywod

The Bourse de Commerce presents a concert by British experimental rock band Spresso, featuring Alpha Maid, Mica Levi and Zach Toppin. The evening begins with the gothic rock and cold wave liturgies of the trio Tristwch Y Fenywod, born in the mist of Leeds.

Since 2023, Alpha Maid - aka Leisha Thomas, experimental artist, guitarist and producer - and Mica Levi - a multi-faceted musician whose work ranges from orchestral compositions to film music - have been developing their radical Spresso project, marked by sounds blending noise rock and edgy post-punk, where rhythmic spirals, ghostly autotuned vocals and howling guitar riffs collide. In concert, the duo is joined by Zach Thomas, drummer and multidisciplinary artist.

Formed in 2022, the witchy trio Tristwch y Fenywod ("The Sadness of Women"), composed of Gwretsien Ferch Lisbeth, Leila Lygad, and Sidni Sarffwraig, conjures supernatural folk and rock music sung entirely in Welsh. Their sound is carried by pounding rhythms, zither tones, and an ancient voice. In 2024, the band unveils their debut studio album, imbued with an eerie beauty.
