ARTE POVERA
Until January 20, 2025
Works by the thirteen main protagonists of Arte Povera, one of the most important movements in the history of contemporary art, are displayed in the Bourse de Commerce for a sensory, poetic and material experience.
Curated by Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev, an internationally recognised expert in Arte Povera, the exhibition retraces the history of this movement, from its birth in Italy to its spread across the world, through a large selection of major works by the artists most closely associated with it : Giovanni Anselmo, Alighiero Boetti, Pier Paolo Calzolari, Luciano Fabro, Jannis Kounellis, Mario and Marisa Merz, Giulio Paolini, Pino Pascali, Giuseppe Penone, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Emilio Prini and Gilberto Zorio.
CORPS ET ÂMES
From March 5 to August 25, 2025
In spring 2025, a whole range of bodies, whether photographed, sculpted, drawn, filmed or painted, will form a choreography and a multiplied rondo in the matrix-like curves of the Bourse de Commerce.
From Auguste Rodin to Duane Hanson, Goerg Baselitz to Michael Armitage to Miriam Cahn, Philip Guston to Marlene Dumas, David Hammons to Kerry James Marshall, Kudzanai-Violet Hwami to Mira Schor, and from Arthur Jafa to Deana Lawson, the exhibition "Corps et âmes" explores the significance of the body in contemporary thought as expressed in the works of some twenty artists in the Pinault Collection.
Follow our guides
The Bourse de Commerce’s guides offer tours to discover the exhibitions and the architecture. Two tour themes are available :
The Exhibition Tour – discovering works and artists
After an introduction recounting the history and architecture of the emblematic Bourse de Commerce, this guided tour invites you to discover the ongoing exhibitions. Offering different viewpoints and insights, it encourages the encounter with certain selected works, and helps you discover their creators.
The Architectural Tour – discovering history and architecture
Explore the history of the monument by going on an architectural walk. This visit takes you through and around the building, across four centuries of architecture, and highlights the historical beauty of the Bourse de Commerce, as well as its vast decors that dialogue with the radical art of Tadao Ando, one of the architects of its contemporary transformation.
