Follow our guides!
Enjoy a guided visit with a specialized tour guide at the Bourse de Commerce. The tour content is adapted to suit the group, the age of the participants and their educational needs. On offer: a range of four themed tours.
- Architectural tour
Seen from the outside, the Bourse de Commerce forms a perfect circle. This unique design is a rarity in the Parisian urban landscape. Immediate departure: this architectural tour takes visitors on a remarkable voyage through the five centuries of the building’s history. Discover the “queen’s palace”, the “municipal pantry”, the “world store”, and the “contemporary art museum”, and admire the different architectural elements that make up the Bourse de Commerce.
- The Exhibition Tour
Paintings, sculptures, videos, photographs, sound works, installations: from works that have already made the history of contemporary art to the most emerging artists, the collection offers a perspective on the art of our time. This guided visit invites you to take a tour of the current exhibitions and, through active observation, to share your experience of the works.
- Where are we ?
Where do artworks come from? Who chooses to exhibit them? How are they installed? What is a cartel? A tour to answer all these questions and get a glimpse of how a museum works.
- Storytelling tour (Ages 3–5)
This storytelling tour introduces children to art through a playful and rhythmed narrative. Exploring the exhibition spaces, the children will discover the works on display and all the imaginary worlds they project.
A curious pebble in the museum
Follow the history of Rockie Limestone, a small pebble who comes to discover the exhibition Arte Povera at the Bourse de Commerce.
Our friend Rockie Limestone wonders, where does she come from? From the sky? A river? The mountains? Encouraged by her stone friends, Rockie Limestone goes off to explore the museum galleries, where she encounters various materials that are as alive and animated as she is.
Through this narrative visit, child visitors will observe various original materials used by the artists who have belonged to the Arte Povera artistic movement. Fire, ice, trees, stones, coal, water... nature is present here in all its forms!
