The Bourse de Commerce – Pinault Collection, in association with FIAC, presents the world premiere of Gerard & Kelly’s film. Shot during the lockdown in November 2020 in the empty rotunda of this new museum, Panorama is a reflection on the monumental paintings that adorns the cupola and the contemporary architectural intervention by Tadao Ando. It is the latest in a series of performances and films by Gerard & Kelly that explore the interactions between bodies and architectures, from the history of a site to its intersection with gender, classe and race issues.
American artists and choreographers living in France since 2018, Gerard & Kelly collaborated with the performer Soa de Muse and Guillaume Diop and Germain Louvet, dancers from the Paris Opera Ballet. The music is composed of recordings made by the American composer and pianist Julius Eastman.
The screening of Panorama will be introduced by curator Guslagie Malanda and followed by a discussion with Gerard & Kelly, Guillaume Diop, Germain Louvet, and Soa de Muse.

Gerard & Kelly
With influences in minimalism, institutional critique, and queer theory, Gerard & Kelly create installations and performances, between dance and contemporary art. Recent exhibitions and performances of their work have been presented at MAMCO Geneva; Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) and Getty Museum (Los Angeles); Festival d’Automne, Palais de Tokyo, and Centre Pompidou (Paris); Pioneer Works, Guggenheim Museum, and The Kitchen (New York). They contributed to the 2017 Chicago Architecture Biennial and the 2014 Made in LA Biennial at the Hammer Museum (Los Angeles). Gerard & Kelly completed the Whitney Museum Independent Study Program in 2010, and received their MFAs from the University of California, Los Angeles, Department of Art in 2013. Their work is in the collections of LACMA - Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Hammer Museum, Guggenheim Museum, FRAC Franche-Comté, and le Carré d’Art - musée d’art contemporain de Nîmes.
