bar italia presents Triage + Mitsubishi Suicide + The Place

La Bourse de Commerce et le groupe de rock expérimental bar italia proposent une soirée dédiée à la scène rock et post-punk actuelle de Londres, réunissant Triage, Mitsubishi Suicide et The Place. Ces trois groupes, aux sonorités brutes et atmosphères noise, témoins d’un paysage musical en permanente mutation, offrent un instantané des sonorités londoniennes.

Triage is a London-based post-rock band consisting of five musicians. Their promising EP Fox Hours, released in May 2024, weaves distortions and reverberations into a hazy soundscape, blending whispered vocals with abrasive energy, oscillating between post-punk and spoken word.

Mitsubishi Suicide is a post-hardcore band formed in London in 2021. Their self-titled album, released in February 2023, fuses slowcore melodies with screamo, interwoven with raw riffs and torn vocals.

Still under the radar, The Place is a London-based rock duo.

The London band bar italia, composed of Nina Cristante, Jezmi Tarik Fehmi, and Sam Fenton, cultivates an air of mystery. In 2020, they released Quarrel on Dean Blunt’s World Music label—an album with ethereal production, whispered vocals, and rugged instrumentation, sparking speculation about their identity in a handful of online discussions. In 2022, the release of three singles (Blanks, miracle crush, and Polly Armour) revealed the trio’s faces. This was followed by a series of live performances and the release of two albums in 2023 (Tracey Denim and The Twits), cementing bar italia as a defining force in the revival of English rock. After performing at the Bourse de Commerce in December 2022, the band returns for a carte blanche event, inviting three groups that offer a snapshot of London’s sonic landscape.
