CHRONORAMA - Accessibility guide and Italian Sign Language

Easy reading texts in Italian and videos in Italian Sign Language are available to visit the exhibition "CHRONORAMA".

On the occasion of "CHRONORAMA. Photographic Treasures of the 20th Century" Palazzo Grassi offers visitors an Accessibility Guide in Italian, produced in collaboration with Carlo di Biase, art historian and museum accessibility expert, and Alice Montagner, art historian. Visitors are taken on a tour of the exhibition with brief introductions to the historical periods and explanations of a selection of images.

The guide, available online and at the entrance to Palazzo Grassi, includes texts in simple Italian. A playlist of video presentations in Italian Sign Language is accessible to all online.

The title of the exhibition is CHRONORAMA. It is a word composed of two ancient Greek words: chrono (time) + orama (image).
Chronorama therefore means image of time. As we visit the exhibition, we see the 20th century told through photos, which are organised by decades.
