As part of the Mahall sessions, a programme of events and educational activities organised by the Uzbekistan Pavilion at the 71th International Architecture Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia, il Teatrino di Palazzo Grassi hosts the screening of The Whole Mahalla Speaks About This(1960). The film, a black and white comedy directed by Shukhrat Abbasov, occurs in a traditional uzbek neighbourhood - a mahalla - at a time when big-scale construction works take place. The movie humorously depicts the relationships between traditional parents and their modern children.
