On the occasion of the exhibition “Treasures from the Wreck of the Unbelievable” by Damien Hirst at Palazzo Grassi and Punta della Dogana, the Teatrino presents a cycle of talks and screenings dedicated to the relationship between reality and fiction.
6 October: « True like fiction: cinema and the fake », talk by Roy Menarini, University of Bologna, dedicated to the discussion on true and false that cinema and images continue to stimulate, with a special focus on the radio drama War of the Worlds narrated by Orson Welles realised in 1938.
9 October: Screening of Citizen Kane (USA, 1941) by Orson Welles.
11 October: Screening of F for Fake (France/Iran/Germany, 1973) by Orson Welles
19 October: « Faker than the truth: why reality cannot be enough », talk by Andrea Bellavita, cinema critic, followed by the screening of Forgotten Silver (New Zealand, 1995) by Peter Jackson and Costa Botes.
