For the last week of the monographic exhibition Sigmar Polke curated by Elena Geuna and Guy Tosatto, Palazzo Grassi - Punta della Dogana announce a special event dedicated to the public.
The Venetian Ensemble Ex Novo, directed by Maestro Claudio Ambrosini, will play a selection of extracts from the dur moll cycle composed by Robert H.P. Platz. The German artist imagined a composition for orchestra and soloist integrated to a specific choreography and video projections, inspired by Polke's Traum des Menealos cycle (1997). The series is composed of individual chamber music tracks but which can be superimposed while played leading to a polyphony, reminding us of the two double sided silkscreen printings by Sigmar Polke, in which the images complete each other, as in Platz music.
The event is organized in collaboration with the Centro Tedesco di Studi Veneziani.
