Through a combination of reading, performance and discussion, the two authors Francesco and Gianrico Carofiglio, authors of publications that are hugely popular in Italy, involve the public in an adventure of interwoven words and images, a heady spiral of narratives that forms an introduction to a Museum of Paper embracing a whole multitude of stories.
Francesco Carofiglio (Bari, 1964)
Architect, film director and illustrator, he worked for many years as an actor and playwright. He writes screenplays for film and television. Besides Ritorno nella valle degli angeli (Marsilio 2009) and L'estate del cane nero (Marsilio 2008), he published for Rizzoli in 2005 the novel With or Without You and in 2007 the graphic novels Cacciatori nelle tenebre with his brother Gianrico.
Gianrico Carofiglio (Bari, 1961)
He is a magistrate, a writer and an Italian Senator. With Sellerio he published the crime fictions of the Advocate Guerrieri (Testimone inconsapevole, 2002; Ad occhi chiusi, 2003; Ragionevoli dubbi, 2006), L’arte del dubbio (2007) and Le perfezioni provvisorie (2010). He won numerous awards including the Premio Bancarella
with Il passato è una terra straniera (Rizzoli). He has also written Né qui né altrove. Una notte a Bari (2008), Il paradosso del poliziotto (2009) and, with his brother Francesco, the graphic novel Cacciatori nelle tenebre.
