"Ritratto d'autore" is the new cycle of talks with authors organised by Palazzo Grassi to examine the work of some of the most famous and important authors of today.
Nobel Prize Laureate for Literature in 2015, journalist and writer Svetlana Aleksievič, of Belarusian and Ukrainian origin, is the first guest of the cycle. Her courageous and extraordinary work has described, and continues to tell, the fall of the USSR and some of the most dramatic events of the post-Soviet era. Svetlana Aleksievič is in conversation with Ezio Mauro, journalist and publicist, who was director of “La Repubblica” for twenty years, and deep connoisseur of Eastern Europe and Russian history.
The first appointment is in collaboration with Bompiani.
The cycle "Ritratto d'autore" is organised in collaboration with Irene La Scala.
