Invernomuto is the name of the artistic personality created in 2003 by Simone Bertuzzi and Simone Trabucchi. They work and live in Milan. Invernomuto realised a number of research projects structured in time and space, using them as a base for their cycles of interconnected works.
Drawing on sound research related to the Mediterranean region, the Masterclass provides elements for interpreting and contemplating sound and the ways of its visualisation, exploring the fluid and non-linear networks of sonic production. Black Med, thus, will on the one hand be analysed and narrated, on the other hand it will function as a method to be intertwined with the personal journeys of each participant.
BLACK MED
Developed since 2018 on the occasion of Manifesta12 (Palermo), the Black Med archive gathers sounds and music related to the diasporic narratives and pathways of the Mediterranean, chosen by Invernomuto in collaboration with a network of musicians and researchers. Black Med, accessible through an online platform (blackmed.invernomuto.info), is the source for a wide range of sound installations, exhibitions and performances.
INVERNOMUTO
Invernomuto is the name of the artistic personality created in 2003 by Simone Bertuzzi and Simone Trabucchi. They live and work in Milan. Invernomuto worked on research projects spanning time and space and leading to series of interrelated works. On a common theoretical basis, Invernomuto tends to think in an open and rhizomatic manner, developing different outputs that take the form of moving images, sounds, performative actions and publishing projects, within the framework of a practice defined by the use – as diffuse as it is precise – of different media. Reality is observed according to the principles of documentary cinema, but for the purpose of creating an imaginative and almost abstract representation, which offers wide margins for reflection and critical interrogation.
