Lo Schermo dell’Arte celebrates its ten years of activity in the field of the moving image with the publication of the volume Lo schermo dell’arte 10 Years Between Contemporary Art and Cinema 2008-2018.
The presentation features a talk by Philippe-Alain Michaud, curator at the Musée national d’art moderne – Centre Pompidou in charge of the film collection, Silvia Lucchesi, director of Lo Schermo dell’Arte, Gabriele Gori, director of Fondazione CR Firenze, and Valeria Mancinelli e Silvana Fiorese, the book editors.
Afterwards, as an anticipation of the programme of Lo schermo dell’arte 2019, is screened the film commissioned and produced by Frieze in partnership with Gucci Everybody in the Place: An Incomplete History of Britain 1984-1992 (UK, 2018, 61') by Jeremy Deller, artist to whom is dedicated the Focus of the 12th edition of the Festival.
Edited by Silvana Fiorese and Valeria Mancinelli and published by Giunti Editore, the book has been realised thanks to the contribution of the Fondazione CR Firenze/OAC Osservatorio arti contemporanee, supporter of the festival since its first edition.
