The Teatrino di Palazzo Grassi inaugurates a new cycle of appointment dedicated to the theme of migration, in collaboration with associations and institutions operating in the field.
The first appointment is with Refugees Welcome Italia (RWI), an organization launched in Italy in 2015 as part of an international network founded in 2014 in Germany. RWI promotes a new culture of housing for refugees in private accommodations to support social inclusion. The event will be focused on the testimonials of refugees who have been welcomed in the Veneto region thanks to the regional network of the association.
Talk with:
Alessandra Landi - moderator, collaborator of RWI and volunteer of the RWI's Venice Group.
Fabiana Musicco - general director of Refugees Welcome Italia
Mohamed Kaba - flatmate hosted by a RWI family in Marghera
Camilla Rutelli - host family of RWI in Treviso
The talk is followed by the screening of Fire at sea (Fuocoammare) directed by Gianfranco Rosi (2016), winner of the Golden Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2016, set on the Sicilian island of Lampedusa during the European migrant crisis.
