On the occasion of the collective exhibition ‘Dancing with Myself’ at Punta della Dogana, the museum organises a cycle of talks, screenings and performances dedicated to the question of identity and curated by Annalisa Sacchi e Ilenia Caleo. ‘Myself is Another’ is a cycle of talks dedicated to the performing arts conceived as an opportunity for invention, proliferation, incarnation and camouflage of the identity. The artists, researchers and curators invited to participate underline how contemporary performance can be an artistic practice able to redefine and put on stage the relationship between politics and activism.
7 November: Romeo Castellucci, stage director and founder of the theatre company Socìetas - Raffaello Sanzio, is the guest of the first appointment. The film of the exhibition Orphée et Eurydice, directed by Romeo Castellucci at La Monnaie in Brussels, is screened at the Teatrino.
5 December: The choreographer, dancer and researcher Yasmine Hugonnet, is at the Teatrino for a talk with Piersandra Di Matteo, researcher, playwright and curator of performing arts. Yasmine Hugonnet is the founder of Arts Mouvementés and her research focuses on posture and presence. The filmic version of the solo Le Récital des Postures (50'), a choreography by Yasmine Hugonnet, is screened at the Teatrino.
13 December: The actress and performer Silvia Calderoni is in conversation with Ilenia Caleo, performer and researcher. The film La leggenda di Kaspar Hauser, directed by Davide Manuli, is screened at the Teatrino.
