On the occasion of the exhibition dedicated to Tatiana Trouvé open at Palazzo Grassi from 6 April, Teho Teardo and Blixa Bargeld present a concert dedicated to the artist, together with Laura Bisceglia (cello, voice, bells) and Gabriele Coen (bass clarinet) and accompanied by Carlo Lazari (violin), Annamaria Pellegrino (violin), Paola Carraro (viola), Carlo Teodoro (cello) of Ex Novo ensemble.
Teho Teardo, composer, musician and sound designer, and Blixa Bargeld, composer and musician, are the authors of the composition Denebola, an unpublished piece specially written for the exhibition "Tatiana Trouvé. The Strange Life of Things" at Palazzo Grassi as an accompanying project to the works.
Denebola is the name of a star.
The lion is the symbol of Venice.
Superimposing the constellation of the Lion on the map of Venice and keeping St. Mark's in the centre, Palazzo Grassi corresponds to the tail of the lion.
Denebola is the second brightest star in the Lion constellation.
Its name is derived from the Arabic ‘lion's tail’.
