Ep. 4, Economies
Teatrino di Palazzo Grassi
Italy is the country with the most architects per capita in the world. Although the real estate market is constantly growing, the increase in investments corresponds to a contraction of the potential market intercepted by architects and chronic dissatisfaction among professionals. Divided into three parts, this episode of the Public Program offers a critical analysis of the architectural profession, its positioning within the broader context of cultural labor, and the story of innovative practices that allow to imagine new trajectories and economies for the discipline.
Guest curator: Salvatore Peluso
Salvatore Peluso (1989) is a freelance journalist, educator and independent curator, active between Milan and Catania. He studied architecture at the Polytechnic of Milan and at the ETSAM in Madrid. Since 2016 he has written on architecture, art and design for various magazines, including Domus, Elle Decor Italia, Lampoon and STIRworld. For Abadir – Academy of Design and Visual Communication based in Catania, he conceived and is the creative director of the Heritage Innovation master's degree, which deals with the redesign of marginal territories and internal areas with a transdisciplinary approach. He is among the founders of DOPO?, a space dedicated to cultural work and shared recreation, in the Corvetto district of Milan.

Ep. 5, Masters
Teatrino di Palazzo Grassi
The event’s conversations will focus on the question of knowledge and expertise within a cultural and creative context where the boundaries between disciplines and professions increasingly blur. Inspired by the “master class” format of education, in which luminaries divulge the mechanics of their work process and inner thinking to experts in the making, as well as the intimacy of artistic salons past, the program will explore the shared inspirations, unexpected obsessions, and quiet motivations driving the work of today’s leading cultural figures. Together we will look both back to the past and forward, toward the future, in order to understand how creative work today both preserves traditional techniques and advances new forms of knowledge and making.
Panel discussion on the idea of mastery in current times across multiple disciplines
Guest: Ippolito Pestellini Laparelli (president of jury Biennale Architettura 2023 / 2050+), Gea Politi (publisher and editor-in-chief Flash Art), Fulvia Carnevale (Claire Fontaine)
Moderator: Nicholas Korody + Victoria Camblin
The event will be digitally moderated with Infinite story, created by Giga Design Studio.
