Incroci di Civiltà 2015

On the occasion of Incroci di Civiltà, the international literature festival organized by Ca' Foscari University in Venice, the Teatrino hosts two talks with authors on the theme of memory.

Agata Tuszyńska in conversation with Francesco Cataluccio

Agata Tuszyńska was born in 1957 in Warsaw. Her research focuses mainly on the history of Polish Jews. She has published numerous articles, poems and books, including In Search of Isaac Bashevis Singer and the Jews of Poland (1998), Rodzinna historia (2005) e Vera Gran. The Accused (2013).
Francesco Cataluccio was born in Florence in 1955. He studied Philosphy in Florence and Literature in Warsaw before working in publishing in Italy. He has written numerous essays on the culture and history of Poland and Central Europe.

Appointment with David Foenkinos

Born in Paris in 1974, David Foenkinos has written many books including Delicacy (2009) and Charlotte(2014), the story of Charlotte Salomon, a painter who died in Auschwitz.
