On the occasion of the exhibition “CHRONORAMA”, with illustrations and photographs from the Condé Nast archive, the Teatrino hosts the screening of the documentary Hidden Master: The Legacy of George Platt Lynes (2023, 96') dedicated to the photographer George Platt Lynes, best remembered for his portraits of celebrities and for his fashion photography.
Directed by Sam Shahid, the film explores aspects of the photographer’s work that were until recently less known: his work with the male nude from the 1930s-50s. These photographs, sensuous and radically explicit for their time, reveal George Platt Lynes’ greatest talent, who is being rediscovered and appreciated today for these groundbreaking photographs.
