Programme
20 November
Talk for museum professionals: The Challenge of Distance
What happens online, mediation, participation and workshop practices
How can we shape and enhance the identity of our educational practices when they are led in an entirely digital context? How can we maintain the inclusive dimension of being together in a space that encourages learning through accessible and participatory strategies and tools? How can we include and bring people closer to cultural institutions, despite the difficulty of physical distance?
21 November
Workshops for all open to the public
The domestic body, led by Stefania Napolitano, MAXXI Educazione
If we are the space we live in, in this historical moment, where everything has been reconfigured to face such difficulties, how are ours homes dealing with the situation? How are our domestic bodies? The workshop suggests a series of activities of "spacial anatomy" to understand how basic activities such as sleeping, eating, working and taking care of oneself are distributed within the domestic space, which often leads to the reconfiguration and transformation of these spaces.
As if you were here, led by Sofia Bilotta, Head of Public Engagement
Physical distance has now entered our daily lives and relationships and digital technologies are the tool with which we attempt to fill the empty space left between us and the others. But what is missing from when we physically meet? How can we replenish this empty space? With this workshop we train ourselves to reduce the distance through a new path inspired by "Maria Lai's art cards", four decks of cards created by the famous Italian artist as a tool for reading art and architecture and practicies involving the sensory practices adopted by people with disabilities. Voices, hands, movement, listening and sharing will be the elements of an alternative narrative process to be build together through a computer screen or a smartphone.
