Cinema Galleggiante

Palazzo Grassi - Punta della Dogana takes part to the third edition of Cinema Galleggiante - Acque Sconosciute, a cycle of screenings that takes place exclusively on the waters of the Venetian Lagoon from 25 August to 10 September 2022. Films, videos, performances, music and theater involving both international and local artists are presented on a stage and screen in the waters behind the island of Giudecca, at the end of Rio de Sant’Eufemia.

The theme of the third edition is the surreal, dreamlike and hallucinatory visions, the absurd.

Palazzo Grassi - Punta della Dogana presents, as part of the cycle, some films by artists from the Pinault Collection:

• Excerpt of environmental recording of The Sense of Silence Foundation (2')
• The Snorks: a concert for creatures (2012, 28') by Loris Gréaud

Cinema Galleggiante - Acque Sconosciute is a project conceived by Edoardo Aruta and Paolo Rosso presented by Microclima, in collaboration with TBA21–Academy - Ocean Space, Pentagram Stiftung, Palazzo Grassi - Punta della Dogana - Pinault Collection, Fondazione In Between Art Film together with 4 new partners, Chantal Crousel Consulting, Collezione Peggy Guggenheim, Padiglione Nazionale dell’Uzbekistan and Combo.
