Special screening of
Amare Gio Ponti
Documentary by Francesca Molteni
Gio Ponti (1891-1979) is one of the most influential Italian architects and designers of the 20th century, an avant-garde figure and promoter of the Italian design. During a career that spans over 50 years, Ponti experimented with everything – arts, jobs, objects, architectures, materials – dedicating the same energy to a door handle or to urban planning.
The screening of the documentary Amare Gio Ponti (Italy, 2015, 34') is followed by a panel discussion with Teresita Scalco (professor of design at IED Venezia), Francesca Molteni (filmmaker) and Alessandra Rubelli (interior designer).
