As part of its missions, AFEX, the Association of French Architects Overseas, has been organizing since 2010 the Grand Prix AFEX for French architecture worldwide. Every two years, it rewards ten buildings delivered abroad by French architects, distinguished for their design and construction qualities. Among them, a Grand Prize and a Special Jury Prize are selected.
On May 18, 2023 at 5 p.m., before the opening of the 18th Biennial of architecture, the Teatrino di Palazzo Grassi will host the Winners of the 2023 Grand Prix AFEX Awards, who will talk about their projects built around the world.
The 9 projects of the Prize list will be described by their architects in a series of short interventions. The architect of the Special Jury Prize will then present all of his work internationally. A conference on the AFEX 2023 Grand Prix followed by the Awards ceremony will conclude the meeting.
